The maker, Iwakawa Flag Shop, is a dye shop that has been working hard for more than 100 years.
For generations, the shop has been making flags for good fishing,
banners for shrines,
and noren (short curtain) using traditional dyeing techniques.
It is a small dye shop, but it handles extremely "auspicious" products.
TENUGUI  - Japanese Hand Towel -
Tenugui is a type of traditional Japanese hand towel.
“Te” means “hand”, and “nugui” means “wipe”.
They are commonly used as a hand towel.
It has the unfinished edges.
This is a big characteristic of tenugui.
It is not that someone forgot to sew it.
The reason why the edges of tenugui are not sewn is because it is
hygienic
.
It dries faster and germs do not accumulate.
Moreover, it's thin and not bulky.
